Have you ever started plants from seeds? I will be starting my gardens at my new home from almost nothing so I have been researching various ways of starting plants from seed.
One of my favorite things to do in the winter is look at my gardening books and magazines and plan for springtime. This year I have even more reason to plan than usual.

It always amazes me how quickly everything seems to come to life in the springtime. After a week with temperatures in the mid to upper seventies trees that just last week had tiny leaf buds are covered with the light green of new leaves opening.

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend, with sunshine and temperatures around seventy. I was able to finish my springtime yard cleanup.
I was thinking last night how impatient I am for mother nature to hurry up and give us weather warm enough to get outside and dig in the dirt.
While I was driving earlier today, I saw daffodils blooming in a field on the side of the highway. Daffodils and forsythia blooming are always such a welcome sign of spring to me.
A friend and I were talking this weekend and she was asking me questions about how I choose the plants I use in my gardens.

I really hate cold weather.
We went horseback riding yesterday and seeing some of the kudzu covered countryside made me think of this.
I love gardening, something about getting outside and digging around in the dirt is very enjoyable and relaxing to me.
